From the best selling spy novels by Ibne Safi
Ibne Safi is widely known for his immensely popular best selling series of spy novels, Jasoosi Duniya and Imran Series. Born in 1928 in Allahbad India, Ibne Safi began writing the Imran Series in Pakistan in 1955. Popular for their enthralling plots and enigmatic characters, these novels of mystery and suspense held an entire generation captivated for years.
The Imran Series features the sharp detective, Ali Imran, (later known in the series as X2), who mastered the art of disguise and possessed the ability to dodge bullets. In everyday life Imran is seen as a flippant and naïve individual, whose acts of buffoonery deflect his rivals. Behind this guise his mind continues to tick as he solves case after case and overwhelms his adversaries.
In Bhayaanak Aadmi, we meet the young and beautiful Anglo-Indian Burmese Roshi, who works in a hotel in a dubious neighbourhood, notorious for its unsolved murders and its reputation for being under the grip of a “terrifying man”. She encounters a handsome young man, conspicuous for his absurd antics and soon finds herself enmeshed in a series of intriguing events. Who is this young man? Can she trust him? Or does he belong to the gang of the “terrifying man”?
